In an interview between Bored Panda and Kristina, she talked about the inspiration behind the initial step of the trend of short haircuts.

The hairstylist says, “since many women included in these 30s are working in a place that they don’t like or where they have lost all their inspiration in moving forward which happened to her as well, once she lost her motivation in moving forward and increasing her knowledge when talking about her job at the time. She was working as a translator and a choreographer and also she was teaching Spanish before becoming a full-time hairstylist.

“Basically if she had her own children she would be sparing her time on them rather than spending time on herself, she would be on maternity leave like most women. All of the time she has belongs to her so she will be putting it on self realization to improve herself to do things that are important to herself. She likes to keep it real about the things around her and about herself. Thinking about what she loves and essentials for her and what has supported her to move forward in the correct direction to become a hairdresser, and to be true she was thinking about this job before that. All the requirements that she likes the most are within this profession.

  1.  Creativity, style, and beauty.
  2. Working with and for people.
  3. Good pay.
  4. Freedom
  5. Learning something new
  6. The outcome of my work is immediate.
  7. The opportunity to manage the process from beginning to the end.
  8. A job where both my hands and head are involved.”

She says that, “when she adds a checkmark on all of those points, her decision was made at an instant. The outcome can be seen in before and after transformations that she has done on her customers.

She says that short haircuts are love at first sight. She felt love with her own transformation at first, a person could say she went too extreme, moving from long hair to short hair which she has now. She further says that the transformation is not only visible in her appearance, it touched her from inside too which made her feel so happy.

At the starting point of herself as a hairdresser she has had many women coming for short haircuts. Doing the haircuts on her own hands which she saw the real changes unfold right in front of her eyes. She felt love with this hair cutting process which made her realize that she can see people in a whole different manner. To make them happy it is a must for them to give them the most suitable haircuts for them by preferring their need, personality and a person’s overall charisma.”

She says that this is her favorite transformation. And she further says that she is a highly specialized specialist thats a reason why people come to her nonstop for short haircuts. Since she has done many haircuts she can’t specifically say a particular haircut is her favourite because every haircut she has done is done specifically for the person that is specific and unique to herself. She enjoys the transformation or the change the particular person gets during the haircut. The faces become more younger and lifted compared to their before pictures, short haircuts give women a more stylish, modern and a sharper look.”

Since there are many things that the hairstylist should know somethings should come from the person as well is what Katsabina believes.

She thinks that the most useful thing a hairdresser should know is that the hairdresser should have the ability to truthfully work with people and to get to know their needs as well. And also a person should consider a client’s personal taste and their aesthetics, but the aim of a hairdresser is to make someone better looking, more beautiful version of themselves than before. That’s what she does with her haircuts, Katsabina likes to make women feel happy and feel more beautiful about themselves.
