A time capsule from 1900 was discovered by Mathieu Stern, a French photographer and YouTuber, in the basement of his old family house. He found two sealed glass plate negatives inside the hundred-year capsule and did what any interested photographer would do: he proceeded to develop them. The guy even recorded a video of the time-consuming process of processing the images.
#1 The time capsule, according to the guy, is most likely over 100 years old.

After his previous YouTube video, a family member warned him that there could be a time capsule concealed in their old family house. And there was one!
#2 There were various tiny objects within, but the photographer’s attention drew to the two glass negatives.

#3 The negatives were developed using the cyanotype method.

“After further study, I discovered a box dated from roughly 1900, based on the artifacts and photographic method contained within,” the guy stated in his most recent video. “As a result, I decided to use the Cyanotype Process to develop the photographs.”
#4 First, Mathieu covered a piece of paper with cyanotype solution

#5 Then the man secured the glass negative on the paper covered with cyanotype solution in a wooden frame

#6 The framed setup has placed under a UV light and developed for about half an hour

#7 Then the photo paper was soaked in water and finished off with hydrogen peroxide

#8 And voilà! – a 120-year-old cat photo right before your eyes

#9 Mathieu later colored the photo using Photoshop

#10 He repeated the process for the second negative

#11 And produced another cat photo!

#12 This time it revealed one more kitten along with an adorable puppy
