After The Binman Enters Her Garden To Collect Trash, She Leaves A Message For Him.

Binmen did something unusual

We’ve all experienced the worry of forgetting to put the bins out on collection day, but one woman was taken aback when she witnessed what her local binman did in response.

After getting swept up in the festivities of England’s Euro 2020 semi-final victory over Denmark, the woman from Birkdale, Merseyside, neglected to remove her rubbish out of her garden on Wednesday.

When she awoke on Thursday morning, she noticed that the binmen had not only come into her garden to collect her bins, but they had also returned the empty containers to their original location.

“Bin men sometimes get a lot of stick, so I thought I’d give them a shout out this morning,” she posted on a neighborhood app, according to the Liverpool Echo.

“We neglected to put our bins out because we were celebrating too much.”

“Anyway, I awoke to find that the bin men had taken our bins from the garden, emptied them, and then replaced them.”

“Wow, it was really cool.” Thank you to whoever was responsible for that.”

The woman was grateful by the gesture because her area’s general waste is collected every two weeks, so her next pickup wouldn’t have been until July 22.

People were eager to comment to the message, with several others sharing their own experiences with helpful binmen.

“I remember a period when the bins were metal and there were no garbage bags, and the bin guys came into the drive and humped the bins on their backs and tipped them into the truck individually,” one wrote.

“A friend tried to hide her bin so it wouldn’t be seen by passers-by, and the bin man knocked on the door and asked, ‘Hey missus, where have you hidden it this week?’ ‘”

Others hoped that the woman would return the binmen for their kindness.

“Good for you to notice what they did and be grateful for it!” commented another. Many people would have gone unnoticed.
