Lus Rogério Faria Rosa is a self-taught Brazilian artist who lately chose to skeletonize some of our favorite cartoon characters. And he made a point of paying attention to all of the little characteristics that distinguish each character.
In a recent interview, the artist said that he has always been highly detail-oriented since he was a youngster. He saw that several of the figures’ bodily parts were anatomically incorrect, and he pondered what type of skeletons their bodies were concealing. “Today’s cartoons exploit even more features,” Lus remarked, “that would be impossible to exist in a human or animal shape.” “With that in mind, I picked several characters from recent paintings as well as those that have been well-known for decades and decided to envision what they would be like if they had bones.”
