Many beautiful views of Mother Earth are invisible to the human eye. They are hidden in deep oceans or away glaciers. However, as very thankful to modern technology, we have come to a place where we have the opportunity to view these breathtaking views through camera lenses. In particular, photographers have now succeeded in using drones to capture bird’s views that were previously only visible to birds and hidden from the human eye. The Himalayas are one of the fascinators’ destinations on the map of nature. The Himalayas are home to many myths and legends, and the top of the mountain is covered with snow glaciers. It covers about 2400 km of land and water, and the mountain range is rich in biodiversity.
Drone Captured Photographs: Hidden Glacier In The Himalayas
Sometimes you may not have heard much about glaciers in the Himalayas. It is the third-largest iceberg globally and has about 15,000 glaciers. Some of these glaciers have yet to be discovered, which adds to the mystery of the mountain. However, with the assist of a drone, a photographer was recently able to find a hidden glacier in the Himalayas.
Especially, David Kaszlikowski is a renowned photographer who has won several awards for his work and is a specialist in mountain photography. He also has underwater and aerial photography skills (multi-helicopter piloting) and has always been fascinated by the Himalayas. He was looking for an excellent place for his K2 sky-scraping documentary. David sent his DJI Phantom drone to explore the area and then set it up and send it above the K2 mountain range, the second-highest peak in the world. Near Concordia, at the foot of the mountain, they discovered two glaciers, Baltoro and Godwin-Austen, and then saw a new, realistic one, surrounded by a 65-foot-wide pool of water.
He commented with us, “The place was unique and had a very clean graphic frame. It was changing its form every day, disappearing and melting. No one like me will ever photograph it again; No one will see it that way next season.”
