Unable to stay unemployed for long, he took a casual job as a car cleaner at Carbo Air.
No one thought he would stay long because his salary was so low. He earns about N200 a day, which is roughly $ 0.5. However, Abubakar made a relentless effort, and soon he was employed as the airline’s ground staff in Maiduguri. He worked there for eight months at a salary of N17,000 per month. Later, he went to Aero contractors as an airline employee. His hard work went unnoticed. The deputy managing director saw him. Now his salary is N170,000. And also did not believe this; When he received his first salary, he tried to get his money back.
He decided to save money instead of spending it carelessly. So, he went to the managing director. And told him about his dream of becoming a pilot.
The manager who liked the idea was quick to help him. He was soon able to pay for his personal pilot’s license in Canada. He completed his training.
Upon his return to Nigeria, he discovered that a commercial pilot’s license was also required. But this time, he had no money, and he did not despair. He spoke with the Deputy Managing Director. And also, the company helped him because of his loyalty. And, they sent him back to Canada for this license and sponsored his training.
Abubakar, who worked hard for eight years on aero contracts, eventually became the captain of Azman Air. Thus, Muhammad Abubakar, who worked as an aircraft cleaner, became a pilot after 24 years of hard work. His journey was not easy, but with pure determination and hard work, his dream came true.
