Tired of hearing the terrible news, Italian artist Mauro Gatti created The Happy Broadcast, an “anxiety-free” Instagram account where he draws the finest good news. Fear-mongering and alarming news frequently makes us feel as though the world is collapsing, says the artist. “While reporting on difficulties and challenges is vital, I feel there is a lot of good in the world that has to be uncovered and promoted.”
Mauro selects news for The Happy Broadcast that has global appeal and incorporates subjects like animal rights, climate change, and science. He thinks we need more good news to see that the world is improving, however slowly.
