Lions, tigers, and leopards are the animals we consider to be human. Most of us do not dare to go near one. Although these creatures look amazing, they are not enough animals to be around us. We like to enjoy its beauty from a safe distance that these carnivores cannot harm us. But some are bold enough to associate with lions, tigers, and leopards.
Almond Gerber and his wife Beatrice are two such brave men. And also, the couple spends most of their time with the wildest wildcats in the world.
Significantly, they manage the Iron Throne Predator and Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa. It is a 200-acre sanctuary and is home to ten lions, three tigers, and three tigers. These large cats live a good life among other rescued wildlife.
All the animals in the sanctuary are born into slavery and eventually return to their eternal home. We love to hug our pets and dogs as well as these wildcats. If someone tells you to hug a lion or a tiger, you will most likely say “no hell,” but Almond is not an ordinary human being. He caresses these animals daily and allows the animals to play throughout the day.
Almond understands that working with high predators is a big risk. But he does this for a living. And also, he loves and trusts these animals. Some people think he’s crazy and that he’s testing his fate by cuddling and playing with these huge beasts. However, Almond considers herself lucky to have the opportunity to work and love these animals. According to him, you should maintain your concentration and respect and not act foolishly in handling lions, tigers, leopards, and cheetahs. There are also times when this man is scratched and bitten. Although leopards are his favorites, he considers all these wild animals as his family.
