Ballet is one of the most magnificent and enchanting dances, and Australian aerial photographer Brad Walls sought to capture it using a drone.
Brad began using a semi-professional drone to shoot his trips in Southeast Asia two years ago. The photographer honed his style by photographing topics like Olympians and pools during this time.
Brad called Montana Rubin, a member of the Australian Ballet who couldn’t perform because of the epidemic. One site was a warehouse contrasted against the delicate components of the Ballet, and the other was an event hall with gorgeous tiles. “I had no expectations since I had no prior knowledge of Ballet. “I was amazed by Montana’s ability to get into postures and creatively guide herself depending on my input.”

Brad felt it was essential to pay homage to the art of Ballet while giving it a modern twist. “During the session, I encouraged Rubin to ‘play’ with the shadows cast by her gentle motions. Her complete immersion in her art form was spine-tingling and something a photographer can only hope to see in their lifetime,” stated the photographer.
