The Best Christmas Gift To Emrie, A Visually Impaired Girl Who loves Harry Potter

Christmas is really the season of love, giving and miracles. Meet Emrie, a beautiful young girl from Mission, Kansas. An unfortunate incident of a gene anomaly has left her visually impaired. Starting to learn braille from the age 4, she is now fluent in the language and reads as many books as possible.

A couple of months before Christmas, her father used to tuck her into sleep and read her Harry Potter every night. Soon, little Emrie would fall in love with the mysterious and magical world in those stories.

She was fluent in Braille since she started reading the language

She was super excited to read the books by herself. But unfortunately, the Braille version of the books was very expensive.

But Emrie’s Aunt got the motivation to start up a GoFundMe project, so she can collect money to get Emrie the Braille versions of the Harry Potter series.

Emrie was very eager to read the series by herself

A book can cost up to 300 dollars. Katelyn wrote about Emrie and her dream in the description, hoping people will help her in making her niece’s Christmas dream come true.

Within a month’s time, the fundraiser was able to round up an amount of 4,226 Dollars. Emrie’s aunt finally was able to get Emrie a series of Braille Harry Potter books as well as to give away 5 full sets of the same series to libraries and schools in the neighborhood as donations.

Surprising the little girl with loads of love!
