The fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Anatoli Muratov has been called off at the eleventh hour. And also, the match was supposed to take place tonight at Wembley Arena, but it has been postponed. Sven Elbir, Eubank’s original opponent, withdrew after testing positive for Covid; thus, Muratov was a late substitute. Muratov is reportedly unable to compete in tonight’s match after the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) expressed concerns about pre-fight medicals, according to Sky Sports.
“We are all sorry that Chris Eubank Jr. will no longer be able to participate in tonight’s show, but it is critical to make the correct choice in the interests of the combatants’ health and safety,” said Ben Shalom, the fight’s promoter.

“We’re grateful to the British Board of Boxing Control for the standards they employ to protect that.”
“My thoughts go out to Chris, who has had a challenging time lately. He’ll come back stronger, and he’ll continue to play an important role in Sky Sports’ ambitions. In the next weeks, Chris will return with a huge battle.”

“We appreciate the criteria that the British Board of Boxing Control employs to safeguard that.”
“Chris has been going through a lot recently, and my thoughts are with him. He’ll be stronger when he returns, and he’ll continue to play a key role in Sky Sports’ plans. Chris will return in the coming weeks with a massive struggle.”
For the past two years, Eubank Jr., 32, has been deprived of competitive action, so this news will be a tough pill to swallow. The Hove-born bruiser had only fought once since 2019 when he defeated Marcus Morrison in a straightforward victory earlier this year. The rest of tonight’s stacked card, shown live on Sky Sports, will go on as scheduled.
