The action-packed Lord of the Rings film was shot in a stunning location with expansive green meadows. Middle-Earth, which is situated in New Zealand, is a breathtaking sight.
#1 Fiordland

The trilogy included the Fangorn Forest and the Anduin River. River Anduin was used to photograph River Waiau between Manapouri and Te Anau. The peaks seen from here were utilized to symbolize Rivendell. The Takara road leads to this region. The path depicted Fangorn Forest on both sides.
#2 Waikato Region

The Hobbiton is here. The Road Trip describes this as “an essential must for Lord of the Rings lovers who wish to visit the film’s breathtaking sights.” The “dwellings” were renovated to appear like authentic hobbit homes.
#3 Lakes South

Many sequences were shot here. Driving through these regions gives one the sensation of being near a significant work of art. The Glenorchy town and Mount Earnslaw’s slopes are highlighted.
Arrowtown was also in the Ford of Bruinen. The king’s pillars (Anduin d Argonath) are seen from the Chard Far. Drive Crown Range Road to Cardrona Valley, then up Mount Cardon to see them all. These vantage locations provide a panoramic picture of Middle-Earth.
#4 Mount Sunday

The Ashburton mountain was portrayed as Edoras. Edoras was Rohan’s capital. You may get a stunning vista of a former art center. The best view is from Hakatere Road.
#5 Nelson

Chetwood Forest was filmed between Nelson Drive and Takata Hill. In the Chetwood Forest, the strider led the hobbits away from the black riders. Aerial views of this area may show Nelson Lake, Kahurangi, and Abel Tasma. Because the trees are just a few miles apart, driving is possible.
#6 Twizel

The Pelennor Fields fight took place here. Thousands of Orcs fought against Gondor’s warriors. In Mackenzie Country, just outside of Twizel, this scene was filmed.
#7 Wellington

The film included Mount Victoria multiple times. Rivendell is the Kaitoke Regional Park. This is where Frodo recovered after being knifed. It was Hobbiton Woods. The Hobbits hid in the mountain’s forests from the black horsemen. The Hutt River was Andin, and Harcourt Park was Isengard.
