The reason that these birds own such a vibrant appearance is that their habitats; which are tropical Islands of South East Asia and Pacific. These small islands do not have any native predators to hunt these birds. Although the number of these birds are not specifically counted, their numbers have been threatened the releasing of predators such as cats and rats onto those islands by humans. Proper Conservation of this gorgeous bird is much needed before it too gets extinct just like its relative, the Dodo bird.
