Jamie Paul Scanlon, nicknamed JPS, is a British artist living in Germany who brings art to the streets one piece at a time. The artist has a particular style in which he often incorporates characters from well-known video games and television series into his paintings and diverse environmental objects such as railings and drains covers.
Jamie said in a recent interview that despite his early interest in painting, he grew up in an environment with limited opportunities. “Then a sequence of incidents, including the killings of two close friends, set me down a 12-year road of severe drinking and drug use,” the artist stated. Things, on the other hand, would gradually improve.
