30-year-old Carol Rossetti from Brazil developed the Women project — a collection of stunning pictures highlighting the hardships women experience every day. She’s been working on it for four years.
“I assume all youngsters enjoy drawing,” she stated in an interview. “I tried acting and sculpture as I grew older, but they didn’t work very well, so I continued drawing.” After graduation, she began working with illustrations.
“The sentiments in those images are obvious, simple to read, and somewhat soothing – but also extremely quick and very short,” explains the artist. She claims that body positivity, choice, LGBTQI pride, intersectionality, social equality, and human rights are not targeted. “I wanted to speak about feminism with my aunt, grandmother, mother, and other women who were afraid of the word.”
Carol began the series with ladies she knew, but soon women from all over the globe began sharing their tales. “It’s something we learn to cope with, but I can’t claim it doesn’t hurt,” she adds. Yes. Luckily, the love I received outweighed the hate.”
