A woman has become a viral character with the Tik Tok after it was revealed that all her teeth had fallen out after surgery to lose weight.
She had a gastric bypass in 2011 and lost more than nine stones but suffered from many health problems, including tooth loss.
Cathy, 33, of Michigan in the United States, found that she was anemic, had low vitamin levels, and that her teeth were severely affected, despite taking supplements daily after surgery.
She depends on her business selling crystals and minerals, said: “Before my bypass, my natural teeth were perfect and healthy.”
“I never had a hole until I was 24 years old. But a few years after the bypass surgery, my teeth were brittle and weak.”
“I had a lot of cavities, and my teeth were broken.”
“In the last eight years, I have spent a lot of money to save teeth.”

Cathy has a lot of fillings, crowns, and root canal treatments, but “nothing can be saved,” she said.
“I could have spent thousands of more dollars, but nothing guaranteed that I would not need dentures soon.”
In December 2020, after discovering a Tik Tok star who was open about using dentures, the business owner decided to remove the remaining broken teeth for a set of dentures.
Cathy received the complete set in January of this year and hopes to receive transplants in the next few years.
She shares her journey in the Tik Tok platform to help other people struggling with the decision to get dentures- part of which is easing them.
Cathy recently went viral for sharing a video of herself parked in her car and gnashing teeth at passersby.
This post has been viewed more than 2.9 million times so far and has received 830,000 likes.
One fan said that she loves the humor that Cathy brings to the subject. Another said that his grandmother once did the same thing to make people laugh.

Cathy believes that making light-hearted video clips about her dentures assists reduce the stigma attached to teenagers wearing them.
She often gets comments asking why she needs them, and some say it is due to drugs or poor dental hygiene.
TikTok added: “I want to help people of all ages understand that dentures are available for a variety of reasons.”
“When I underwent gastric bypass surgery, they did not realize that surgery could have a detrimental effect on your dental health. You did everything right, but they are now and have done some research and study on this.”
“I believe that someone should be warned about what can happen before they have surgery. People will always tell me what happened to their teeth.”
