Dawn R. Jankovic, 47 year old died after passing out on a rollercoaster at the Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari amusement park in Santa Claus, Indiana, in the United States. The woman is from Brunswick, Ohio.
Ms Jankovic went to Holiday World on Friday and got unconscious while riding the Voyage roller coaster, according to a post on the theme park’s official Facebook page, Daily Star reports.
Minutes afterwards, emergency care technicians from the amusement park came and treated her before being brought to the neighboring Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. Sadly she died in this hospital in the exact night.
The ride was well inspected, no issues of faults were found.
The roller coaster has been thoroughly inspected, and it has been concluded that the ride functioned as planned. Out of respect for the family, the ride was closed for the evening.
On May 15, Holiday World opened its doors to the public for the 75th season.
The Voyage roller coaster had just celebrated its 15th birthday when it was tragically killed.
On May 6, 2006, the wooden rollercoaster, which stands just over 50 meters tall, was formally opened to the public.
